Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and PetDebut when you order a debut. PetDebut is a small studio run by Jess & Moose. By starting an order, paying, or opening a private link we send you, you agree to this page, the Privacy policy, the Free redo policy, and the Refund policy.

What you are buying

PetDebut makes a custom digital debut starring your pet. Unless a bundle says otherwise, a debut includes an original song written about them, a 2-minute music video starring them, and a movie poster. A singer performs the song. Your name is in it.

The bundles on the site at the time you order are the offer:

• Breakout Star, $89: one 2-minute music video with an original song, one movie poster, delivered within 48 hours of a complete order.
• Superstar, $149: two 2-minute music videos on two different stages, two movie posters, a 20-second premiere trailer, delivered within 24 hours.
• Megastar, $199: three 2-minute music videos on three different stages, three movie posters, a premiere trailer, and a Behind the Scenes video, delivered within 24 hours.

Each order includes one free redo, described on the Free redo page. Superstar includes two music videos. Megastar includes three. The free redo covers one of those videos, not every video in the bundle, and it does not cover the trailer or the Behind the Scenes video. If another music video has a serious problem, we may redo that video or refund some of what you paid. That is our decision. It is not included with the bundle, and a full refund is not promised. Prices are in US dollars. The price you see when you start the order is the price you pay. Taxes, if any, will be shown at checkout.

What we need from you

A complete order includes:

• your pet's name
• your name, which is spoken in the song
• your email, which is how we send the private link
• a song style and a stage for each music video
• at least one clear photo of your pet's face, up to three photos
• payment for the bundle

Photos should show the real animal. We cannot make a debut from a drawing, a screenshot of another video, or a photo that is too dark, cropped, or blurry to see their face. If a photo cannot be used, we will ask for another one before the clock on delivery starts.

You confirm you have the right to send the photos and names you give us. Don't send someone else's pet as if it were yours, and don't send photos you don't have permission to use.

How delivery works

Delivery times start when the order is complete, including a usable photo and payment. Breakout Star is due within 48 hours. Superstar and Megastar are due within 24 hours. If we are waiting on a photo, a name, or payment, that wait does not count toward the delivery window.

When the debut is ready, we put the poster and the video on a private link and email that link to the address on the order. Save the link. That is how you open the debut later. The link is for you and the people you choose to share it with. It is not a public listing, and it is not a broadcast license.

Digital files are the product. We do not ship a printed poster unless a future offer says so.

What the debut is, and is not

Each debut is made for one pet, from the details and photos you send. The song is original to that order. The video and poster are a concert-style portrait of that animal, not a live filming of a real concert, and not a copy of a famous artist's work.

We do not promise a specific likeness beyond a good-faith effort with the photos you sent. Pets move. Lighting changes. A debut can still be theirs even if a frame is not identical to a photo. If it is not their song, or the animal is clearly the wrong pet, that is what the one free video redo is for.

Your rights in the finished debut

You may watch, download, and share the private link with family and friends. You may post it on your own social accounts as a personal keepsake. You may not sell the files, resell PetDebut as a service, or use the debut in ads or commercial work without our written OK.

We keep the right to use a finished debut as an example on PetDebut, with the pet's name, unless you ask us not to. If you don't want a debut used as an example, write hello@petdebut.com from the email on the order.

Changes, delays, and problems

Custom work cannot be paused and restarted like a store return. Once we start making the song, the video, or the poster, the order is in production. You cannot swap the pet, the bundle, or the song style after that without our agreement, and we may treat a full restart as a new order.

If a tool we use is down, or a photo has to be replaced, we will tell you and keep working. A delay is not, by itself, a reason for a full refund. See Refunds if something actually went wrong.

Acceptable use

Don't use PetDebut to harass anyone, to impersonate someone, or to request sexual, violent, or illegal content involving an animal or a person. We can refuse or cancel an order that we cannot make in good faith.

Write hello@petdebut.com from the email on the order, and include the pet's name and the private link if you have it. That is how we find the debut. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without a fight over which state's law applies beyond that.
